FRIDAY 12TH FEBRUARY
JD SMITH/ MONSTERS IN THE ATTIC
8.30PM/ £3 ADMISSION
J.D SMITH kicks off the evening with his rough and ready rockabilly sound DISTORTED MAGAZINE declares "J.D. Smith was astounding, a Rockabilly and blues one man guitar wunderkind. Not only was his guitar work, vocals and songs top notch, but he seemed at ease to play through his set of bareboned Rockabilly-Country." Listen at www.myspace.com/stuartjamesdurdensmith
MONSTERS IN THE ATTIC follow at 10pm.
This is definitely the band for you If you like your rock mixed with a handful of Sham 69, a bit of B-Movie Horror, a dash of the 50s and fat-free gang vocals, all fired together with a Cockney swagger. Inspired by performances from Living End, Gallows, Hellacopters and The Hives, the Monsters settle for nothing less than a whirlwind knockout show that have audiences leaving with their blood suede shoes still moving!
In the past they have been crowned by Metal Hammer for the demo of the month, top of Total Rock accolades and have been featured and reviewed in various music mags. They are veterans to the London scene playing at venues like the Camden Underworld & Mean Fiddler, which has helped them craft a blisteringly monstrous live set.
A great bar and music venue with an 'arts lab' feel. Music, poetry, performance, you name it. Opposite Morrisons supermarket. Open normal hours weekdays, till 3am Friday and Saturday.
