Hackney Unites are holding a meeting in Cafe Mostra on 21 July.

Hackney Unites wants to thank everyone who has supported them over the last few months, whether this was through the Workers Advice Project, their campaigns against racist organisations, contributing to or attending the recent Celebrate Hackney event or simply completing their on-line survey.

They are holding a ‘thank you, feedback and discussion’ meeting from 7–9pm, on Wednesday 21 July at:

The first half of the meeting will be a discussion session, the second half will be an informal gathering with a complementary buffet from this excellent Turkish café. If you want to attend, please register on-line.

This will be an open meeting for all their supporters, and is designed to a) thank people who contributed to the Celebrate Hackney event, b) obtain their feedback, and c) share Hackney Unites’ views with them about future activity. They have managed to obtain external funding to provide a buffet at this meeting.

They are already committed to convening a further Green forum, to working with the Borough for Sanctuary campaign, to challenge organised racism and bigotry, to promote a workers advice centre and to organise local communities at a time when they face serious attacks in the form of job losses and cuts to basic services.
