Richard Boon, local librarian and N16 Magazine columnist, offers a personal perspective on, and appreciation of, the life of Malcolm McLaren, who died from cancer last week at the age of 64. He was raised by his grandmother in Clissold Crescent and was deeply influenced by the centuries-old dissident tradition of the Stoke Newington area.
